Meet Your Coach: Addison DesRosiers
Hi! Iβm Addison, but most people know me as Coach Addie. Fitness and competition have always been a central part of my life. Growing up, my biggest passion was Irish Dancing, where I competed at a high level for many years. After retiring, I attended American University and earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, with a focus in nutrition and personal training.
It was during college that I discovered CrossFitβa sport I quickly fell in love with, both as an athlete and as a coach. Over the past ten years, Iβve had the privilege of coaching CrossFit and Nutrition, helping people from all walks of life pursue their goals. My greatest joy is not only guiding clients toward success but also teaching them how to build lifelong, sustainable habits around nutrition and fitness.
A major part of my coaching philosophy is recognizing the deep connection between mental health and nutrition. Having been an athlete since age eight, I know firsthand how much our mindset impacts the way we view food, our bodies, and our progress. My own journey has included years of struggling with anorexia nervosa, followed by binge eating disorder. Iβve been underweight, overweight, and everywhere in betweenβwhich gives me unique insight into how complex our relationship with food can be.
Because of that, my mission is to help you not just hit your goals, but also heal your relationship with food. Iβll walk with you every step of the way, teaching you how to nourish both your body and your mind. The tools we develop together are designed to serve you not just in the short term, but for the rest of your life.
